Meet Deidre Adams
I am a Senior Defense Attorney with the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office, where I have spent more than a decade handling serious and complex criminal cases. Every day, I stand in the courtroom advocating for fairness, protecting constitutional rights, and ensuring thoughtful, balanced decision-making — values I believe are essential on the bench.
I am a proud wife and daughter of two military veterans. I bring a broad perspective and a deep respect for community service. My work has required me to listen carefully, weigh competing facts, and make difficult judgments grounded in the law — not personal opinion.
I am running for judge to ensure that every person who enters the courtroom is treated with dignity, patience, and equal justice. I believe strong courts are built on preparation, integrity, and balanced leadership. As a mother, attorney, and longtime public servant in Fresno County, I am committed to serving our community with fairness, professionalism, and respect for the rule of law.
Vote Deidre Adams for Judge

Experience. Leadership. Commitment to Justice.

I currently serve on the Major Crimes team at the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office, handling complex and high-stakes felony matters involving significant legal and evidentiary issues. My work involves jury trials, complex litigation, motion practice, negotiations, and collaboration with forensic and psychological experts. I have taken approximately 15 jury trials to verdict and have appeared in court thousands of times throughout my career.
One of my proudest moments was securing a full acquittal in People v. Diamond Mitchell, an attempted murder case centered on self-defense. I have also achieved multiple dismissals through thorough investigation and written advocacy. My courtroom approach is rooted in preparation, fairness, and professionalism.
I was honored to receive the “Trial Dog of the Year” Award in 2024 and currently serve as Secretary of the Hugh Goodwin Scholarship Fund. I am also committed to mentoring young attorneys and law students.
I believe the courtroom should be a place where justice and humanity coexist. My experience representing underserved communities and my commitment to the rule of law guide my vision of a judiciary that is fair, respectful, and accessible to all.

“Our courts need a judge who will uphold the Constitution, protect the rights of every individual, and ensure fairness and dignity for all who enter the courtroom.”
